Darebin Community and Kite Festival

Event Details

Let’s go fly a kite! Perennial favourite, the Darebin Community and Kite Festival, is back. Held throughout the picturesque Edwardes Lake Park in Reservoir, the Festival is an outdoor cultural and community celebration.

Fun, free and immersive, it offers a broad range of performances, workshops, community stalls, food and beverages, a pet expo, and of course, kite flying! The 2017 Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with numerous activities for all ages on offer throughout the day. Don’t have a kite? Make one on the day! Relax in the green surrounds as you soak up the incredible  array of performances, nurture your inner bookworm in the Storytelling Corner, get creative with visual arts activities, or enter your (doggie) friend into the pooch parade!

There’ll be something for everyone, so gather your friends and family, pack a picnic rug, and come and celebrate with the Darebin community.

**  Please note that Stallholder Applications for the 2017 Darebin Community & Kite Festival are now closed. If you have a Festival-related query please contact Ryan Hale on 8470 8211 or ryan.hale@darebin.vic.gov.au.  **
